MyRockstar.com is a music-focused social media start-up looking for a seasoned Java pro that wants to build a product that they are fired up about.

We got started in Feb 2008, are in private beta and are set to launch next month. We are a team of 5 passionate music fans with track records designing and building viral/social media applications. We sold our last company for $100 million and are looking to make this one even bigger!

If you are an enthusiastic and talented programmer that wants to make an impact, you have mad foosball and RockBand skills, and are a bonafide music fanatic, then we've got a helluva job for you!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working as a lead level, pro-active, self-starting product contributor
• Comfortable with lightning-fast, Agile, iterative development cycle
• Love to write code, especially in Java
• Well-versed in software design patterns, algorithms and data structures
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Function well in a fast-paced startup environment
• Be energetic and enthusiastic

BONUS POINTS:

• Experience with a Java web frameworks (Spring, Struts, JSF, JSP), multithreaded environments, MVC design, optimization and Servlets
• Solid experience with web programming: the request cycle, session management, AJAX, application security, etc.
• Familiarity with the Unix/Linux OS environment
• Strong SQL skills
• Expert in the standard web skill set: HTML/XML/DOM/JavaScript/CSS
• Experience/interest in social networking application development
• You know what Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control mean
• Experience integrating third party services/technologies
• Experience building rich internet applications with Flash, Flex and Actionscript 3
• Experience building social network applications for Facebook, Bebo, MySpace, and other OpenSocial networks
• Random technologies/libraries: Velocity, JSTL, YUI
• Computer Science Degree
